Rendering Services at G P Coatings
Rendering is the process of coating internal or external walls with a cement, acrylic, or Granosite mixture. While rendering has waterproofing and fire rating qualities, it’s also applied for its aesthetically pleasing appearance.
G P Coatings offers a variety of rendering services for both commercial and residential buildings. Our rendering services include cement rendering, acrylic rendering, and Granosite rendering. Furthermore, we can render internal and external walls or ceilings – all depending on your unique requirements.
At G P Coatings, our team of qualified renderers always work efficiently and meticulously with every rendering service delivered.
Our rendering services include:
Cement Rendering
Cement rendering is the process of applying pre-mixed layers of sand and cement onto brick, stone, existing cement, or mud brick. This type of rendering has numerous kinds of applications, including textured, coloured, or painted on once the application has dried.
With cement rendering, G P Coating’s team can render cement in any way necessary, whether you want it fine, coarse, textured, smooth, natural, pigmented, painted, or even coloured to client specifications. This type of rendering is not only attractive, but also provides a certain level of weather proofing and water resistance.
There are different types of cement rendering that G P Coatings can provide you with, which include:
Bagging
This is a very basic form of rendering as it is only done once, and it doesn’t include any decorative finishing. Bagging is basically a bare minimum covering of a wall to make it look slightly better than it would without a covering. You also have the option of applying coloured bagging if you want a slight finish. It’s always best to add a finishing coat to protect the bagging and the wall from the weather.
Marmorino
This type of cement rendering is a much better option if you’re building homes or commercial structures which need a more decorative finish. Because this type of cement rendering is more focused on appearance, there are more premium options available. This type of cement rendering is also ideal if you’re looking for a stable, hard coating.
Acrylic Rendering
Acrylic rendering is the process of modifying cement-based renders to provide weather resistance, decoration, and aesthetically pleasing finishes. Acrylic rendering can be applied over most building materials and can be done to both interior and exterior walls. Its significant water-resistance and strength allows for a much wider range of applications as opposed to cement rendering.
Our team at G P Coatings can apply acrylic renders to surfaces like concrete, cement, and AAC panelling.
There are numerous reasons why acrylic rendering is the ideal choice, including:
- Better flexibility
- Excellent longevity
- Reduced probability of cracks
- Gives buildings and homes a beautiful aesthetic appearance
- Textures can be modified to be rough or smooth according to customer requirements
- Can be applied to various types of substrates
- It dries out faster than with other rendering options – making the entire rendering process move a lot faster
- Blocks out any moisture, safeguarding it from fungus and bacteria
Acrylic rendering can be applied to most surfaces such as clay, cement blocks, hebel panels, concrete surfaces, fibre cement sheeting, blue board, painted surfaces, and expanded polystyrene sheets. G P Coatings not only uses strong, high-quality products, but our team is also expertly trained in applying the techniques specifically according to customer specifications.
Granosite texture rendering
Granosite texture rendering is a water-based acrylic widely used in Australian buildings and homes for over 50 years, and rightly so. Granosite texture rendering offers a wide range of textural options, including sandstone and marble.
Granosite texture rendering offers a range of visual alterations and benefits, including:
