No matter how much the world changes, violating graffiti is still a prominent problem in society today. Whether it boils down to jealousy or mere boredom doesn’t matter. What does matter is that your precious assets or commercial property shouldn’t fall victim to acts of vandalism.
While we can’t prevent rebels from attempting to deface your property, we can make sure they don’t succeed. The secret lies in high-quality anti-graffiti coating! Haven’t heard of such a thing before? Allow us to explain.
The anti-graffiti coating is a protective layer applied over the painted surface to prevent graffiti paint from bonding to the surface. Should anyone attempt to deface your property, the surface graffiti will come right off – with the right anti-graffiti coating, of course.
There are plenty of coating methods and applications out there, depending on the surface the coating must be applied to. Thankfully, most coatings work for many different surfaces, including banner vinyl, self-adhesive vinyl, aluminum composite board, and more. The anti-graffiti coating is also perfect for signage and advertising platforms such as billboards, bus backs, pylons, and more – all the areas where vandalizers are most commonly caught in the act.
WHAT TYPES OF ANTI-GRAFFITI COATING ARE THERE?
Basically, there are two kinds: Sacrificial and non-sacrificial. While both are highly effective at combatting nasty graffiti, it’s important to know the difference. Sacrificial coatings are almost unnoticeable, non-permanent, and more cost-effective. However, once you remove any graffiti applied on top of it, your anti-graffiti coating will be removed too – meaning it’ll be time for a fresh coat. With its non-sacrificial counterpart, graffiti comes off more easily and can be used over and over and over again. Hundreds of times, in fact! This one’s a little more costly, which is why it’s preferred for bigger, riskier investments.
WHAT IF MY ASSET GETS VANDALIZED?
While nothing is guaranteed, your chances of recovering your surface are much higher with anti-graffiti coating then without it. Your ability to remove it also depends on the solvent used.
DO I NEED ANTI-GRAFFITI COATING?
This is one of the questions we hear the most. Ask yourself – how big of investment was/is your asset or property? If it were to fall victim to vandalism, how devastating would it be? Where is your property’s or asset’s location? Is it in a high-risk area for vandalism? If you meet any of the aforementioned criteria, it’s probably time to consider anti-graffiti coating. Signs in hard-to-reach areas are generally safer.
